These three beautiful women are our Gryffindor leaders. Prof. Lena Svarri, is our current Head of House. She is also DC of Divinations and a great person to get to know. She is doing an AWESOME job as Head of House, which of course is the only way any of our Professors can be.
Our greatness is so very amazing, that we have not one DHoH, but TWO, unlike the other houses in Hogwarts. Prof. Aine MacArthur is one of our awesome DHoH's. She is also a Potions Professor, and she manages the Banner Club. Our other DHoH is Prof. Caroline Moncrief, who is DC of Care of Magical Creatures. She also is responsible for many of Gryffindor's contests, events, rp challenges and other exciting things going on throughout our great House.
If, at any time, you need someone to talk to, or advice on something, you can go to any of these three women. Granted, that is if they're not overloaded with things, and even so, they manage to make time for their beloved Gryffs!

As with any magical educational institution, Professors change from term to term, or year to year. Gryffindor House is no exception to this ever changing process. Prof. Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore: 1938 - 1956 (Transfiguration); 1955 - 2004 (Headmaster)Prof. Dumbledore came to Hogwarts in 1938 and taught Transfiguration until 1956. In 1955, he replaced Prof. Armando Dippet as Headmaster, a title he held until his death in 2004. Throughout his entire career as a student at Hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore achieved a great number of awards.
Head Boy * Prefect * Winner of the Barnabus Finkley Prize for Exceptional Spell-Casting * British Youth Representative to the Wizengamot & Gold Medal-Winner for Ground-Breaking Contribution to the International Alchemical Conference in Cairo.
Upon his career as a teacher, Prof. Dumbledore taught Transfiguration from 1945 - 1956. He was Head of Gryffindor House from 1942 - 1958.
Prof. Minerva McGonagall: May 1956 - June 2005 (Transfiguration)
Prof. McGonagall replaced Prof. Dumbledore as Transfiguration Professor when she came to teach in 1956. Two years later, (in 1958) Prof. Dumbledore promoted Prof. McGonagall as Head of Gryffindor House. She was also appointed the Deputy Headmistess from 1958 - 2004. After the death of Prof. Dumbledore, Prof. McGonagall was promoted to Headmistress, also keeping her Head of House status for another year.
